Collection & Use of Personally Identifiable Information and other information

When you use our Website, we collect and store your personal information which is provided by you from time to time. SaySO only collects personal information directly from panelists who, of their own free will, decide to give certain information. Our primary goal in doing so is to provide you a safe, efficient, smooth and customized experience. This allows us to facilitate you with surveys that most likely meet your interests. Panelists join SaySO voluntarily to voice and share their opinions regarding products and services. SaySO helps facilitate this process.

We collect information such as name, address, email address, phone number, gender, employment status, household income, education level, marital status, household status, ethnicity and type of computer you use. After you register, we will ask you for additional information through our "Imprints", which are used to match you with the most suitable surveys. Completion of "Imprints" is strictly voluntary. When you register with SaySO, you agree: (i) to receive a confirmation email from us confirming your registration; (ii) to receive emails inviting you to participate in surveys with links to the surveys; (iii) to receive emails inviting you to participate in "Imprints" (iv) when applicable, to receive emails inviting you to participate in voluntary sweepstakes/draws that SaySO may sponsor for its members; and (v) to receive email responses to questions, comments or updates to your member profile that you submit to the Web site. You also agree to the establishment of your incentive account which shall be credited after you and/or one of your qualified referrals participate in a survey that is completed and validated by SaySO.

When SaySO facilitates data collection research, we ensure our panel owners use invitations and clients use questionnaires/Survey that clearly identify the research company or panel company and explain the purpose(s) of our contact.

Survey responses are identified based upon a survey respondent identification number assigned to each respondent. No personally identifiable information is associated with such survey responses or provided to clients or third parties without the respondent's prior "opt-in" consent.

We only use your (the panelist's) personal information for the following purposes:
  • To invite the panelist to participate in market research through a questionnaire
  • To execute a profiling study to garner more information on the panelist
  • To respond to a support based issue
  • To validate answers a panelist gave in a recent survey we carried out on behalf of our clients
  • To update and ensure that our records of a panelist's personal information is true and correct
  • To credit your incentive account for completed and validated surveys
  • To compensate you when you request payment of your incentive credit balance
  • To enforce this Privacy Statement and/or Terms and Conditions
  • To detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity
  • To protect our rights or property
  • To protect someone's health, safety or welfare
  • To comply with a law or regulation, court order or other legal process

Occasionally, we may contact a panelist for one of these other purposes:
  • To gather information to provide any other form of incentive offering
  • To ask for a panelist his/her permission to use their personal information for a purpose that was not explained to them when their personal information was first collected.

When a panelist participates in any of our surveys that we carry out on behalf of our clients, the survey may ask a panelist for their personal opinions, as well as demographic information, such as their age and household composition. A panelist may refuse to answer certain questions or discontinue participation in a study at any time. If a panelist joins the SaySO panel, they may withdraw their membership at any time by following the opt-out instructions.
